About Me

I'm half Spanish half French, live in Berlin, and hold two degrees in Mathematics & Physics. I'm a Machine Learning Research Engineer focused on responsible, inclusive, open-source AI, especially in Spanish.

I believe that NLP research is too focused on English and neglects the particular difficulties of other languages so I founded Somos NLP, the largest community of Spanish-speaking NLP professionals that aims to democratize and advance the state-of-the-art of NLP in Spanish.

I'm a Hugging Face Fellow and have contributed to several international NLP research projects. I'm also very aware of the gender gap in my field and I collaborate with various organizations & initiatives to increase female representation and promote inclusive and responsible AI.

Previously, I worked at Clibrain as part of the Labs team, designing how to evaluate whether AI models truly understand and respect the rich linguistic and cultural nuances of Spanish. I also worked at neurocat, a Berlin-based startup, where I developed explainability methods (XAI) and adversarial attacks to assess the security of ML models.
